as a young student, took two years off from his studies and stayed in South East Asia and Japan in order to practice and study Vipassana and Zen meditation—an experience which had high impact on his professional work. In his early career, as a Fulbright Teaching Fellow, he traveled to Indonesia and studied the mythic traditions of that culture. His subsequent Ph.D. in psychology served as a context for bringing together his interests in cultural anthropology, comparative religions, science, and business.

In 1987, as president of the American Association for Transpersonal Psychology, Dr. Jue began a professional association with His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama.  In 1989, as director of the East/West Foundation; Dr. Jue hosted His Holiness and other spiritual leaders as well as scholars from around the world in Newport Beach, California.  He organized and raised the funds for the million dollar event called; Harmonia Mundi, and it was during this week-long event that His Holiness received word from Oslo that he had won the Nobel Peace Prize:

OSLO-BOUND: Ronald Jue of Fullerton has visited the Dalai Lama in India and heads the foundation that was sponsoring his Orange County visit when the Dalai Lama received word in October that he’d won the Nobel Peace Prize.  Now, when the Dalai Lama receives the prize Dec. 10 in Oslo, Jue will be among the 80 people from around the world on the holy man’s guest list. A spokesman for Jue’s Newport Beach-based East-West Foundation said Jue will make the trip and will probably meet with the Nobelist in Norway.

Dr. Jue was one of fifteen honored guests representing the United States at the ceremony.

Dr. Jue has also been affiliated with The World Business Academy in Ojai, California, and the World President’s Organization, Washington, D.C., where he spearheaded dialogues exploring how core values need to be integrated into the workplace.  This led him to assist in the development of the PBS television series, “Healthy People/Healthy Business.”   He coauthored the book, The Inner Edge (McGraw-Hill, 2002), with Richard Wedemeyer, with a foreword by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.

Dr. Jue has taught transformational workshops throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, and is currently on the teaching faculty of the ZFU International Business School in Zurich, Switzerland.  He has worked and practiced as an executive coach and mentor for business professionals and executive teams who seek to enhance business performance and personal fulfillment here in the United States as well as abroad.
